Frequently asked questions

Which drone licence do our employees need?

In the open category, pilots need the EU A1/A3 proof of competency, except for class C0 drones and other drones under 250 grams. Anyone who wants to fly closer to uninvolved people in the A2 subcategory also needs the EU A2 certificate of competency. Before you book, we establish which qualification your operations require.

How much does training cost and how long does it take?

Price and duration depend on the format, the number of participants and your equipment. We will send you a quote based on your requirements.

Does the training prepare us for our actual operations?

Yes. The drone licence is the legal basis. On top of that, we train you on your own system, covering mission planning, checklists and how to respond to faults.

Do we receive proof of training?

Yes. Every training course is documented, so you can prove your pilots' qualifications to clients, insurers and auditors.

How long is a drone licence valid?

The EU A1/A3 proof of competency and the EU A2 certificate of competency are each valid for five years. After that, they must be renewed.
