Our drone soccer team at the first World Championship in Shanghai

At the first FAI Drone Soccer World Championship in Shanghai, our Solectric Team Germany competed against the strongest drone soccer nations in the world. More than 200 pilots from 14 nations took part, with 18 teams in Subclass A and 28 in Subclass B.

In Subclass A, a German team faced only Asian opponents in its group. With wins against Japan and Hong Kong, it finished third in the group.

In Subclass B, both German teams made it through the preliminary round. One of them finished fifth overall, making it the best European team of the tournament.

The German team competed with five girls and one boy, in a sport that has so far been strongly male-dominated internationally. Many journalists therefore took a particular interest in the German team.

We also promote drone soccer in schools. For the Drone Soccer School Cup, which we organised together with Z-Lab Bruchsal, we received the SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT Award 2025. You can find more about the competition at dronesoccer.info.
