Solectric congratulates the Oberstdorfer Fotogipfel on their spectacular world record! (for the longest digital photo print, totaling 109.04 meters)
The Oberstdorfer Fotogipfel, together with Canon, Oberstdorf Tourismus GmbH, and Ilford Imaging, officially set the world record for the longest digital photo print.
From midnight on Saturday to yesterday afternoon, a total of 109.04 meters were printed from atop the Schanzenturm, with the campaign and the print itself providing support to “Schaut hin! e.V.”.
Thank you to Christian Popkes and the entire event team for the awesome time we spent in Oberstdorf! You could really feel the passion for photography, and exchange between colleagues is extremely important in times like these. A big thank you also goes to the municipality of Oberstdorf for sticking to the organization of the event, despite all the restrictions, and for sending an important message: that it is possible to host photography events in compliance with hygiene guidelines! We’re all really looking forward to the Oberstdorfer Fotogipfel 2021 (Europe’s highest photo festival, with international and national personalities from the photography industry)
