Drone friends in the south and west of the republic can look forward to two DJI stores opening in Munich and Oberhausen later this year. Fans of DJI drones have been making the pilgrimage to Frankfurt am Main since 2017. Since then, the world’s first DJI store in the MyZeil shopping center has been supplying lovers of high-quality camera drones, action cams and gimbals. We have also chosen popular metropolises for stores number two and three. In Munich, the new DJI pilgrimage site is being built in the Olympia shopping center. A new landing site will soon be opening in Westfield Centro Oberhausen for DJI fans in the Ruhr area.
As DJI’s largest sales partner in Europe, the German market has an outstanding position for us. The models of the world’s leading camera drone manufacturer have long been known and popular in Germany.
With the first DJI store in Europe in Frankfurt am Main, we have been exploring new sales channels since 2017. Compared to online shopping, the in-store sales experience adds another dimension. Customers can touch the models on site and try them out directly. The trained staff will also help with questions.
That is why we are expanding this sales channel with further store openings. “We have already firmly established DJI as a brand in Germany in the past through our online presence and various sponsoring activities, such as with Rock am Ring,” emphasizes Olaf Kappler, Managing Director at Solectric. “The DJI stores in various major cities at central locations are the next logical step to inspire new buyers for DJI drones, action cams and gimbals.”
We are therefore now targeting the metropolitan regions of Munich and the Ruhr area. In addition to the latest DJI products, the future shop in Oberhausen’s Centro will also offer high-quality cameras from Hasselblad. A pure DJI store is being built in Munich. The new sales outlets will open their doors in the second half of the year.
However, the year 2023 will not stop with two new openings. Drone fans in other parts of the republic can be happy. Because we will be expanding the network with more DJI stores this year.
