One look at the mass of manufacturers and models is enough to realize that drones are totally in demand – that’s wonderful! Some time ago they were used only in the professional and military field, now you can find them in the private sector and especially in the business environment. If you don’t have a budget and you don’t know what the drone should be able to do, it’s hard to buy a drone. We have compiled some tips for buying drones.

Inexpensive drones as an entry.

A cheap drone as a starter is recommended if you want to get a taste of the technology and subject matter. You try out drone flying and that more indoors, so in the house, room or in a gym. The flight times are quite short due to the often installed battery and they also do not have very elaborate technology. Entry-level models are already available for under 150 euros.

Typical entry-level models are Ryze DJI Tello and DJI Mini 2 – they’re small, pretty and fun.

Sophisticated for drone enthusiasts.

This category is about drones/quadcopters that you use regularly and mainly fly outdoors – even in windy conditions. The purchase price may be a bit higher and one attaches importance to pleasant control, aerial video recording and photos with good quality and image stabilization, as well as great and practical features. They are usually ideal for on the go, so even when traveling, as they weigh little and take up little space.

For drone enthusiasts, we recommend DJI Mavic 2 Pro, DJI Mavic 2 Zoom, and DJI Air 2S.

The Crème de la Crème.

This category is about professional drones/multicopters that offer photo aerial photography in maximum quality and are usually in the upper price segment. Very often they are used in the energy industry, security and defense agencies, agribusiness, communications and infrastructure, because they offer safety technologies, long flight times and even payload weights.

Professional drones include DJI Matrice 600 Pro, DJI Matrice 300 RTK, DJI Inspire 2 and the DJI Phantom 4 Professional.
